Javier Vazquez Finally Has Strong Start, Loses Anyway

style="text-align: justify;">Javier Vazquez got his first quality start of the season and it was a good one, as he held the Tigers to just two runs and five hits, all singles, but still got the loss because he’s Javier Vazquez the offense was shutdown by Rick Porcello.

Don’t get me wrong, this was not a lights-out dominant start by Vazquez, but typically if you are getting starts like this out of your No. 4 starter then things should go well for your team. Like I said though, all of the hits Vazquez gave up were singles and all the Tigers' offense came at once.
