2011 season has been one of parity. As of June 23, 2011 only one division (NL East) has a team that is in first place by more than 2 games.
The All Star Game should represent who are the best players from each team, not who the most popular players are. Since the game decides home-field for the World Series (when will they rectify that ridiculous decision?) and since there are so many teams that have a chance this year, then it is extremely important to make sure the best players play.
In my opinion this is who should be playing in the 2011 all star game. I took the basic rules for the rosters into account, 34 players per roster, with at least one player from each team. Each roster usually has about eight starting pitchers ...
