New York Yankees Prospect Alan Horne Done for 2010

Yankees drafted right-handed pitcher Alan Horne in the 11th round of the 2005 amateur draft and by the 2008 season he was ranked among the top Yankee prospects poised to make the major leagues.

Since then he’s dealt with injury after injury, missing most of the 2008 and 2009 seasons. Now 27-years-old, 2010 was expected to be an important season, but instead Horne will miss the entire season because he needs surgery to repair his torn rotator cuff, according to Patrick Teale of Pinstripes Plus .

This is really bad news for the hard-luck pitcher.
