New York Yankees Notes: Recap, Thames, Hughes, Posada, All-Stars

class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">The Yankees won a wild one yesterday. They took a two run lead, fell behind by two, the regained the lead in the 7th and coughed it up in the 9th before Marcus Thames got his second walk-off hit of the year for a 7-6   11-inning win. All of that and Brett Gardner hit an in-the-parker and Mariano Rivera blew a save.

Here are some notes:

Thames was activated off the 15-day DL before the game yesterday. OF Chad Huffman was sent to Triple-A Scranton in his place. Phil Hughes pitched 6 innings and allowed 5 runs, and 3 home runs.
