New York Yankees Notes: Pettitte, Jeter, Posada, and Cliff Lee

style="text-align: justify;">Hello Bronx Baseball Daily readers. I hope you had a good Memorial Day weekend. The Yankees did as they beat the Indians three times in four games. Andy Pettitte and Alex Rodriguez lead them to an 11-2 victory yesterday.

Here are some notes:

Pettitte earned his 199th win as a Yankee. Only Whitey Ford (236) and Red Ruffing (231) had more.

Derek Jeter left yesterday’s game with tightness in his hamstring in the seventh inning. He was hit with a pitch there earlier in the game. Expect him to be day-to-day.

Jorge Posada is getting close to returning. He was hitting and doing sprints as of yesterday .
