New York Yankees Notes: Derek Jeter, Alfredo Aceves and More

style="text-align: justify;">The Yankees won a pair of games yesterday, both by a single run, against the Minnesota Twins. It’s amazing how good the Twins have been over the years, but the Yankees never have a problem beating them.

The games are always close, but like yesterday, the Yankees always prevail.

Here are some notes:

Derek Jeter helped the Yankees win the rain-suspended game 1-0 with his solo shot in the top of the sixth inning. That homer could be a sign that Jeter is getting his groove back. He has a .951 OPS over the last six games and has reached base safely in 14 consecutive games. His walk total is still way down.
