Andy Pettitte Signs One-Year Minor League Deal with New York Yankees

Pettitte and the New York Yankees have agreed upon a one-year, $2.5 million minor league contract, according to Jack Curry of the YES Network (via FanIQ.com).

At age 39, Pettitte will attempt his comeback after an entire season out of the game.

In 2010, Pettitte went 11-3 with a 3.28 ERA in 21 starts. He pitched so well that he was invited to be a member of the All-Star weekend festivities.

It's highly unlikely that Pettitte makes the club right out of spring training, as he's already a few weeks behind the other starters in camp.

That being said, it's an entirely likely possibility that he could be called up in May after he gets some minor league innings under his belt.
