2010 MLB Draft: New York Yankees Second and Third Round Picks

the Second and Third rounds of the draft, the Yankees selected SS/OF Angelo Gumbs of Torrance (California) High School and 3B Robert Segedin out of Tulane University. Gumbs was taken 89th in the second round and Segedin was the 112th pick in the third round.

Baseball America (subscription required) has some really good things to say about the 6'0", 200 pound, Gumbs. They say he's fast, has a great arm, and makes "spectacular" plays in the field. His tools, they say, are "impressive but not overwhelming," though his bat has improved "immensely" over the last year.
