Report: New York Yankees Have Inquired About Matt Kemp

class="ui-droppable">In the New York Yankees' endless search for offense this offseason, general manager Brian Cashman may now be focusing his attention to the trade market to make a splash.

Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe reports that Los Angeles Dodgers center fielder Matt Kemp is on the Yankees' radar, as the team has inquired about his availability.

The Dodgers should be willing to part with an outfielder this offseason, as Kemp, Carl Crawford, Andre Ethier and Yasiel Puig will each by vying for a starting spot in 2014. With all three more than deserving of one, it stands to reason that one of them will be dealt.

Kemp missed a good portion of 2013 with an ankle injury, and he didn't really put up great numbers ...
