health of Jorge Posada has pretty much become a day-to-day thing. He’s had to deal with the recovery of a broken foot, a cyst in the back of his knee, and now his surgically repaired shoulder has been bothering him.
Last night, for instance, Posada’s shoulder got so bad that the Yankees wouldn’t use him as a pinch hitter in the eighth inning with the tying run in scoring position. So it’s big news that he’s not only in the starting lineup today, but he’s actually starting behind the plate as well.
