MLB Free Agency 2013: Yankees Offer Kevin Youkilis 1-Year, $12M Deal

honestly never thought Kevin Youkilis would ever wear pinstripes.

And yet, in 2013, there's a possibility he could be donning them in the Bronx.

During the winter meetings on Wednesday, the New York Yankees met with Youkilis' agent, Joe Bick, to discuss a potential deal.

On Thursday, according to Bryan Hoch of MLB.com, the Bombers officially made an offer to the former Boston Red Sox infielder.

The Yankees' offer to Kevin Youkilis is one year at $12M, according to source.

The Cleveland Indians are also in "hot pursuit" of the 34-year-old third baseman. They would likely use him at first base, according to Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe.
