New York Yankees have placed left-hander CC Sabathia on the 15-day disabled list with a right adductor strain, reports Marc Carig of the Newark Star-Ledger.
He reportedly first felt pain in the area in the fourth inning of Sunday's start against the New York Mets. After going for an MRI, it was revealed that he indeed had a Grade 1 strain in the region.
Thankfully for the Yankees, Sabathia is expected to miss just two starts. This would put him in line to start right after the All-Star break.
In his place, right-hander Freddy Garcia will take the mound on Friday against the Chicago White Sox.
